This concentrated Supercharge pre-mix of liquid culture supplies a premium nutrient for mycelium expansion:

It includes:

Peptone: A protein digest that provides essential amino acids and nitrogen

Dextrose (corn sugar): An easily metabolized simple sugar for rapid energy

Light malt extract: Complex carbohydrates and nutrients from barley

This blend of elements allows the mushroom mycelium to thrive, producing exceedingly dense and potent growth.

The recipe was recently upgraded and the features of the upgraded formula include:

Clarity:6 times better solution clarity as compared with earlier iterations, with almost no sediment.

Variable concentration: A 2 per cent or 4 per cent sugars solution is ready and usable after autoclaving to match the specific use and storage purposes.

Versatility: Suitable for expanding existing cultures or starting new ones

To prepare the liquid culture:

• Add 10g of pre-mix to 500ml water to make a 2% sugar solution, or 20g for 4% sugar solution.
• 2% recipe is recommended if you want to make and use up your liquid culture instantly, use 4 % if you want to make your liquid culture and store them for longer than 6-12 months.
• More the sugar more energy but mix above 4% is toxic to mycelium.
• 100gm can make up to 2.5%-5 Litres of Liquid culture depending on the ratio used

• 250gm can make up to 6.25%-12.5 Litres of Liquid culture depending on the ratio used.
• Sterilize at 15 PSI for 45 minutes in an autoclave or pressure cooker
• Allow to cool to room temperature before inoculating.
• Incubate in darkness for 1-2 weeks, stirring regularly to break up mycelium.
• This nutrient-rich broth allows for fast colonization and is a good inoculation that can be used to kick-start cultures in a grain spawn, agar plates or even colonize substrates with more aggressive species like Reishi.
• This product has Corn Dextrose, Light Malt Extract, and  Soy Peptone. This is one of the best recipes to expand your own liquid culture instead of just Honey, Karo, or Glucose Syrup. This will result in extremely thick mycelium growth. We use lab-grade Premium Bacteriological Peptone in our product.

We also sell a version without Peptone, this mix is useful if you are trying to grow extremely vigorous species like Reishi , Swordbelt and Oysters as these species can grow really thick in supercharge mix and may get harder to pull into your syringe using the standard needle.Shop the Standard Liquid culture mix.

Storage:

Keep the mix away from any moisture, store in an air tight container.
